1. Purpose and scope

These State Privacy Notices supplement the Milkprint Privacy Policy and apply to residents of states that provide additional privacy rights.

2. Categories of personal information collected

We may collect identifiers (name, email, address), commercial information (purchase and reservation history), internet activity (browsing and usage data), geolocation data, health-related information (breast milk sample data, lactation context, test results), and inferences drawn from this information. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide the Services.

3. Sources of information

  • You, when you provide information directly.
  • Your devices and browser through cookies, logs, analytics, and similar technologies.
  • Service providers such as payment processors, fulfillment providers, laboratories, shipping carriers, analytics vendors, and support tools.
  • Partners or referral sources if you interact with Milkprint through a partner program.

4. Disclosures and sharing

We may disclose personal information to service providers, contractors, laboratories, payment processors, shipping carriers, analytics providers, professional advisors, and authorities as described in our Privacy Policy. Certain analytics or advertising activities may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or “sale” under some state laws, depending on the law and implementation.

5. Your state privacy rights

Depending on your state, relationship with Milkprint, and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information.
  • Access categories or specific pieces of personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information, subject to exceptions.
  • Obtain a portable copy of certain personal information.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, where applicable.
  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Appeal certain privacy request decisions, where applicable.

6. California notice

For California residents, this section is intended to supplement disclosures required under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, if and when Milkprint is subject to those laws. California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising rights.

7. Washington My Health My Data Act notice

For Washington residents and other individuals covered by Washington’s My Health My Data Act, certain information collected by Milkprint may be considered consumer health data, including information related to breast milk samples, lactation, feeding context, test results, and inferences about health or bodily functions.

Milkprint may collect and use consumer health data to provide products and services requested by you, process and analyze samples, deliver results, support customers, maintain security, improve services, and comply with law. We may share consumer health data with service providers such as laboratories, shipping and fulfillment partners, hosting providers, payment processors, support tools, analytics providers, and professional advisors as needed for these purposes.

Where required, Milkprint will seek consent before collecting or sharing consumer health data beyond what is permitted by law.

8. Nevada consumer health data notice

For Nevada residents, this section is intended to address state consumer health data requirements if applicable. Milkprint may collect consumer health data such as sample and test information, lactation context, feeding-related context, and health-adjacent survey responses. Milkprint uses such data to provide requested services, operate and improve the product, support customers, maintain records, and comply with law. Nevada residents may have rights to access, delete, or withdraw consent for certain consumer health data uses, subject to legal exceptions.

9. Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Oregon, Texas, Montana, and other state notices

Residents of certain states may have additional rights under comprehensive consumer privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Oregon, Texas, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island, and others. These rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out of targeted advertising or sale, opt-out of certain profiling, appeal rights, and consent requirements for sensitive data.

10. Sensitive information and consumer health data

Milkprint treats breast milk sample data, lactation information, test results, and related contextual information as sensitive. We use this information to provide Services requested by the customer, support and improve product quality, and perform research or product development only as permitted by law, our notices, and applicable consents.

11. How to exercise rights

To submit a privacy request, contact hello@milkprint.us. Include your name, email address, state of residence, request type, and enough information for us to verify and process the request. We may need to verify your identity. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification requirements.

12. Appeals

If we deny your request and applicable law gives you appeal rights, you may appeal by replying to our decision email or contacting us with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

13. Non-discrimination

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. However, certain requests may affect our ability to provide the Services — for example, if you request deletion of information needed to process a kit, maintain legally required records, or deliver results.

14. Universal opt-out mechanisms

Some state laws require covered businesses to honor recognized universal opt-out mechanisms, such as browser-based Global Privacy Control signals, for certain sale or targeted advertising choices.

15. Changes to these notices

We may update these State Privacy Notices from time to time. The effective date above indicates the latest version.
