Milkprint is currently intended as a direct-to-consumer educational wellness product, not a healthcare provider, health plan, or medical diagnosis service. Some information we collect may be health-related or sensitive. We treat breast milk samples, results, lactation information, and related data as sensitive information.
We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, shipping address, and any health or feeding context you choose to share. We also collect information generated when you use our services, including kit identifiers, sample submission details, and results data. We may collect technical information automatically through your browser or device, such as IP address, browser type, and usage patterns.
We may assign kit IDs, sample IDs, or other codes to reduce direct identification during processing. Coded data may still be linkable to you within our systems or by authorized service providers. Therefore, coded data is not always the same as anonymous data.
We may create de-identified or aggregated data that is designed not to identify you. We may use and disclose de-identified or aggregated data for research, analytics, product development, scientific, operational, commercial, or other lawful purposes, subject to applicable law and any consent commitments we make to you.
We may share your information with service providers who help us operate the Services, including laboratories, payment processors, shipping carriers, hosting providers, analytics tools, email providers, and customer support platforms. These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.
We may also disclose information to comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Milkprint aims to support human milk and lactation research and bring these scientific insights to the community at large. Aligned with our mission, we are establishing a repository of human milk samples and anonymized client demographic data that could be used for a variety of research purposes, including biological, biomedical, or genetic research or research on a particular disease or illness.
Studies conducted may lead to publications in scientific journals and/or the commercial development of new products or solutions. Based on the results obtained, Milkprint or its collaborators may develop intellectual property, commercialize products or services, directly or indirectly, from the data. In such cases, you will not be eligible to benefit financially now or in the future from such activities.
We may use cookies, pixels, software development kits, analytics tags, session replay or heatmap tools, and similar technologies. For example, we may use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors reach and use the website. These tools may collect device, browsing, interaction, and usage information. See our Cookie Policy for more detail and available choices.
We may send transactional communications such as receipts, account notices, shipping updates, kit activation messages, support responses, and results availability notices. We may also send marketing communications where permitted. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email or by contacting us. Transactional messages may still be sent when necessary to provide the Services.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve our products, and support research or product development where permitted. Retention periods may differ by data type.
